“When I’m Good, I’m Very Good…

“But when I’m bad organized, I’m Better.” Mae West…almost. Well, maybe what Mae West would have said when she was cleaning out her closets. Or working on her method for plotting books like I’ve been doing.

On Writing: I’ve spent the last few days rereading writing craft books and blogs. I’m trying to streamline my plotting process with the HUGE DREAM of getting my plot closer to nailed in the 1st draft. Hey, a girl can dream! So, I’ve been going through James Scott Bell’s WRITE YOUR NOVEL FROM THE MIDDLE, and K.M. Weiland’s STRUCTURING YOUR NOVEL. Plus a little of Donald Mass and Blake Snyder. I’m cherry picking what I like best from each of them to come up what works best for me. At least, that’s the plan. Yippee Ki Yay… well, you know the rest.

Today’s Mood Music: Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good.” The Engineer and I are driving 4 hours round trip today to attend a function for our younger daughter. I think I might have had 1 too many cups of coffee this morning as I’ve already vacuumed, given younger son a “pep talk” and I’m about to get in an arm workout. I plan on plotting when it isn’t my turn to drive. It’s feeling like a great day, but I guess beautiful spring weather and an extra cup of coffee might be part of that…Happy Friday, y’all!
